I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS), having successfully completed an accredited honours degree (2:1) in Psychology with the Open University in 2000. I also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Social science from the Open University. I then trained at Southampton Counselling, successfully completing their WPF Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling. This diploma is accredited by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) of whom I am a registered member.
I also worked as a volunteer counsellor for YMCA Southampton Counselling and I am trained in client assessment. I have full Public Liability Insurance. I also attend courses and workshops on different counselling issues throughout the year as part of my Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I abide by their ethical framework for good practice.
First 40 minute session for individuals: No Charge
Once weekly sessions for individuals: £50 per 50 minute session
I work with adults of all ages and I offer short-term and longer term open-ended counselling.
